The inter-flush toilet is a modified flush toilet. It resembles the ordinary
flush
toilet. The difference is the water tank; the inter-flush toilet has two
strings
connected from the turning knot to the water outlet stopper.
When the stopper is in the closed position (Fig. 1), string A is theoretically
in
a shorter position than string B. If we turn the knot now, the arm will lift
the stopper
through string A and open the water outlet in the toilet.
Now the stopper is in open position (Fig. 2), string B is theoretically
shorter
than string A. If we turn the knot now, the arm will lift the stopper through
string B
and close the water outlet.
Therefore, we can manually flush the toilet and manually stop flushing it.
If the toilet was plugged, the inter-flush toilet can prevent it from
over-flowing by manually stopping the water outlet in the toilet.
It also can save water by manually stop flushing the toilet any further if we
see the toilet had been totally flushed out.
Flush toilet should be able to stop flushing whenever we need to. Sometimes,
the toilet is plugged, we wish to stop flushing manually to prevent the water
from
overflowing. But the traditional flush toilet wouldn't do it.
By adding the second string to the arm and stopper, we can manually stop
flushing it just by turning the knot again.
