There are a number of hockey stick bags on the market that are designed with a
shoulder strap for the player to carry. This type of hockey stick bag does not take into
account how the sticks are positioned inside the bag for ease of carrying and that the
player may find it cumbersome having to lug around two separate equipment bags; one
with his/her hockey equipment and the other for the hockey sticks.
In this invention, we have designed a hockey stick carrying bag that will meet
the need of hockey players and reduce having to carry two separate bags for equipment.
The hockey stick carrying bag is designed to the actual contour of a hockey stick as
indicated by the heel to toe section of the bag (Attachment A). To further enhance the
portability and uniqueness of the hockey stick bag, we have eliminated the shoulder
straps and inserted two heavy duty velcro strips designed to wrap around the carrying
straps of a hockey equipment bag. This concept makes the hockey stick carrying bag
part of the over-all equipment bag, thus the player only has to carry one bag.

Claims
The embodiments of the invention in which an exclusive property or privilege is
claimed are defined as follows:
1) An innovation in the category of Inventive Ingenuity for an item constructed of
heavy duty, water resistant nylon material to contain hockey sticks and ment for direct
attachment to the carrying straps of a hockey player's equipment bag.
2) An innovation as described in claim 1, in which the length can reach upto 147cm (58 inches), and can carry a minimum of 3 hockey sticks placed vertically next to
each other.
3) An innovation as described in claims 1 and 2 in which the bottom or the bladeportion of the hockey stick bag is approximately Eleven and one-half inches in length
(11 1/2 inches) and is wide at the heal (approximately 4 inches) and narrow at the front
or the toe portion (approximately 2 1/2 inches). This forms a wedge like look at the
blade, to better conform to the contour of a hockey stick, and is sealed or closed by a
heavy duty zipper that stretches from the heal or bottom of the blade portion around to
the front or the top of the toe of the blade portion.
4) An innovation as described in claims 1, 2, and 3 in which is stiched two heavy
duty velcro strips (approximately 4 inches wide by
1 1/2 inches in hight), designed to grip and firmly stay in place around the straps of a
hockey equipment bag. These velcro strips are stiched onto support band which are
approximately 17 inches apart and provide support for the stick carrying bag.
5) This innovation also has a name tag with a privacy flap that are stiched intohockey stick bag. The positioning of the name tag is such that when the stick bag is
affixed to the hockey equipment bag it faces downward and not easily spotted.

This invention relates to an add-on sports carrying bag for Hockey players and
falls into the category Inventive Tngenuity.
It is CO~ 1011 for hockey stick carrying bags to be cle~igned in a generic fashion
not conforming to the contour of hockey sticks, for example, the heal to toe portion of
the hockey bag is stiched in a rect~n~ r pattern and the but end of ~e bags are not
contoul~,d to the positioning of the sticks thus leaving alot of room for the sticks to
move around causing an imh~lan~e and ~;ullll~l ~o"~e ",ove~e,lt of the sticks when the
player is walking to and from the arena. This design for the hockey stick bag contours
the shape of the blades of each hockey stick, to their vertical positioning.
Each hockey stick is inserted by unzipping the blade portion of the hockey stickbag as illustrated in point 2 in attachment A and inserting the but end first Once in the
bag the sticks will remain snug.
I have found that once the sticks are in the hockey stick calTying bag, and it is
attached to the Ç4Uipl~"~ bag carrying straps by the velcro fastençrs, as illustratçd in
attachment A, it fa~ilit~tes the carrying of hockey sticks and gives the player a free hand
in which to open doors and çlimin~te the potential for accidents due both hands being
occupied with ç4uip~lænl.
In the attached drawing (Attachment A) which illustrates the invention, point 1
is a hçavy nylon m~tçri~l that in water resistant on the inside where the hockey sticks
are housed. Point 2 illustrates the zipper on the blade portion of the hockey stick bag
and follows the contour of the blade and ends about one/quarter of the way at the top or
front of the blade portion. This point also illustrates the triangular type shape of the
blade portion, which confc"",s to the positioning of actual hockey sticks (Wider at the
heal and slender at the toe). Point 3 depicts nylon bands (appro~ul~ ly 1 inch in
width) sewn ~round the hockey stick bag for support and serve as a brace for the heavy
duty velcro that will be fa~t.on~d around the hockey e4ui~ ænl bag calTying straps. The
length belween the nylon bands is i~lentiç~l to the length between the carrying straps on
a hockey equipment bag. Point 4 is an iclentific~tion badge stiched on the hockey stick
bag in case of loss or theft. Point S illu~ ~s the heavy duty velcro strips used to
attach the hockey stick bag to the equipment bag. Point 6 shows how the hockey stick
bag is affixed to the e4uil-"~e~l bag making this a unique all-in-one equipment locker
for the player, and facilitating the transportation and lugging of eqnipm~nt
