Abrégés

Abrégé anglais

A curtain rod set includes a curtain rod, two connecting heads,
two supporters and two positioning sections respectively defined at the
two ends of the curtain rod or defined at the two connecting heads. The
positioning section is formed by an elongating groove. Each of
supporters has a T-shaped block. When the two supporters have been
fixed on the wall with a constant distance, the curtain rod is adjustable
to fasten on the supporters by moving the T-shaped block along the
elongating groove of the curtain rod or by moving the T-shaped block
along the elongating groove of the connecting heads.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a curtain rod set, and more
particularly to a curtain rod set with an elongated groove for positioning
the curtain rod on supporters at any position.
2. Description of Related Art
Curtains are often hanged on the walls, windows or ceilings by

CA 02758008 2011-11-10
2
curtain rod sets. The curtains are also spread out on the curtain rods for
preventing sunshine or for personal private. Generally, the conventional
curtain rod set is fastened on the walls or window frames by two
supporters. The two supporters are parallel to fix on the walls or
window frames with a distance which is larger than the width of the
spreading curtain. Thereafter, two positioning holes defined on the
curtain rod can pass through the two supporters respectively for
fastening the conventional curtain rod set on the walls or window
frames. However, the conventional curtain rod set has two
shortcomings as following:
First, the distance between the two supporters must match to the
distance between the two positioning holes on the curtain rod;
otherwise the curtain rod cannot be fastened on the supporters.
Second, if the size of the curtain is changed, the conventional
curtain rod set is also changed to guarantee that the distance between
the two positioning holes on the curtain rod is larger than the width of
the spreading curtain.
The present invention has arisen to mitigate and/or obviate the
disadvantages of the conventional devices.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The main objective of the present invention is to provide an
improved curtain rod set with an elongated groove for positioning the
curtain rod on supporters at any position.

CA 02758008 2011-11-10
3
To achieve the objective, a curtain rod set comprises a curtain
rod, two connecting heads respectively assembled to the two ends of the
curtain rod, two supporters, each supporter having a T-shaped block,
two positioning section respectively defined at the two ends of the
curtain rod or defined at the two connecting heads, the positioning
section formed by an elongating groove, wherein the T-shaped block
can move inward along the elongating groove from the end of the
curtain rod or the connecting head for connecting the curtain rod to the
supporter; thereby when the two supporters have been fixed on a wall
with a constant distance, the curtain rod is adjustable to fasten on the
supporters by moving the T-shaped block along the elongating groove
to a suitable position.
The elongating groove of the curtain rod or the elongating
groove of the connecting head is defined axially for the T-shaped block
to adjust a connecting position corresponding to the supporter.
The curtain rod further comprises a rod body and an intervening part,
the intervening part being set up between the rod body and the connecting
head for further adjusting the length of the curtain rod, the engaging
grooves defined at two ends of the rod body or at the intervening part.
The curtain rod or the connecting head is partially hollow for laterally
opening the elongating groove, each supporter further comprising a
T-shaped connecting rod and a fixing base, the fixing base being used to

CA 02758008 2011-11-10
4
fasten the supporter on the wall, one end of the T-shaped connecting rod
vertically connected to the fixing base, another end of the T-shaped
connecting rod connected to the T-shaped block, the T-shaped block
passing through the elongating groove and engaging with an inner wall
of the curtain rod or an inner wall of the connecting head for positioning
the curtain rod on the supporter.
The present invention will become more obvious from the following
description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings
which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodiment in
accordance with the present invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Referring to the drawings to Figs. 1-5, a curtain rod set in
accordance with the present invention comprises a curtain rod 11, two
connecting heads 12 respectively assembled to two ends of the curtain
rod 11, and two supporters 14. Each supporter 14 further comprises a
T-shaped block 15, a T-shaped connecting rod 18 and a fixing base 17.
The fixing base 17 is used to fasten the supporter 14 on a wall. One end
of the T-shaped connecting rod 18 is vertically connected to the fixing
base 17. Another end of the T-shaped connecting rod 18 has a
connecting hole 181 defined thereof. The T-shaped block 15 has a screw
hole 151 at center. A bolt 19 is passing through the connecting hole 181
and screwed into the screw hole 151 to connect the T-shaped connecting
rod 18 and the T-shaped block 15. Two positioning section 13 are

CA 02758008 2011-11-10
respectively defined at the two ends of the curtain rod 11 (as shown in
Figs. 2-4) or defined at the two connecting heads 12 (as shown in Fig.
5). The positioning section 13 is formed by an elongating groove 131
when the positioning section 13 is defined at the curtain rod 11. The
5 positioning section 13 is formed by an elongating groove 132 when the
positioning section 13 is defined at the connecting head 12. The
elongating groove 131 of the curtain rod 11 or the elongating groove
132 of the connecting head 12 is defined axially for the T-shaped block
to adjust a connecting position corresponding to the supporter 14.
10 The curtain rod 11 or the connecting head 12 is partially hollow for
laterally opening the elongating groove 131, 132, such that the T-shaped
block 15 can move inward along the elongating groove 131 from the
end of the curtain rod 11 or can move inward along the elongating
groove 132 from the end of the connecting head 12. After the T-shaped
15 block 15 is moving to a suitable position for connecting the curtain rod
11 to the supporter 14, the bolt 19 is screwing tightly for positioning the
T-shaped block 15 with the elongating groove 131, 132. Thereby when
the two supporters 14 has been fixed on the wall with a constant
distance, the curtain rod 11 is adjustable to fasten on the supporters 14
by moving the T-shaped block 15 along the elongating groove 131, 132
to a suitable position.
Referring to Fig. 6, the curtain rod 11 further comprises a rod
body 110 and an intervening part 112. The intervening part 112 is set up

CA 02758008 2011-11-10
6
between the rod body 110 and the connecting head 12 for further
adjusting the length of the curtain rod 11. The positioning section 13
can be defined at the rod body 110 (not shown) or at the intervening part
112 (as shown in Fig. 6).
All in all, the present curtain rod set is designed to overcome the
shortcomings of the conventional curtain rod set. In addition, the
connection between the T-shaped block 15 and the positioning section
13 is behind the curtain rod 11, such that when people are in front of the
present curtain rod set, they will not see the connection portion which is
also beneficial for indoor decoration (as shown in Fig. 1).
Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred
embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible
modifications and variations can be made without departing from the
spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.
