MAKEUP PALETTE
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The following includes information that may be useful in
understanding the present
disclosure. It is not an admission that any of the information provided herein
is prior art nor
material to the presently described or claimed inventions, nor that any
publication or document
that is specifically or implicitly referenced is prior art.
1. FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0002] The present invention relates generally to the field of cosmetics
and more
specifically relates to a palette for dispensing cosmetics thereon.
2. DESCRIPTION OF RELATED ART
[0003] Cosmetics are substances or products used to enhance or alter the
appearance or
fragrance of the body. Many cosmetics are designed for use of applying to the
face and hair.
Common cosmetics include lipstick, mascara, eye shadow, foundation, rouge,
skin cleansers
and skin lotions, shampoo, hairstyling products (gel, hair spray, etc.),
perfume and cologne.
Cosmetics applied to the face to enhance its appearance are often called make-
up or makeup.
[0004] To apply makeup, especially liquid makeup such as foundation, a user
will apply
the makeup to the back of their hand. They will then dip their makeup tool of
choice into the
makeup on their hand and apply to their face. There are however many
disadvantages to this
process. It can be messy, wasteful and unhygienic as the user is required to
wash their hand
and makeup may be wasted as not only will the makeup be washed away, but some
may be
absorbed into the hand during application. Thus, a suitable solution is
desired.
