ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE
A self-loading container carrier truck is disclosed.
This truck includes an elongated truck chassis, slide rails fixed
to the chassis and longitudinally extending lengthwise thereon,
a frame slidably engaging the slide rails and slidable fore and
aft longitudinally of the truck, an L-shaped arm mounted on the
slidable frame and pivoting relative to the latter, hydraulic actuators
connected between the frame and the chassis to slide the frame between
a foremost and a rearmost position, and a double-acting, telescopic
hydraulic cylinder and piston unit pivoted to the frame and to the
elbow portion of the L-shaped arm for pivoting the latter.

The embodiments of the invention in which an exclusive property
or privilege is claimed, are defined as follows:
1. A self-loading container carrier truck comprising a truck
chassis, a guideway mounted on said truck chassis and extending longi-
tudinally thereof, a movable frame operatively engaging said guideway
and displaceable along the latter between a rearmost and a foremost
position, said frame having a forward end and a rear end relative to
said truck, an arm of L-shaped configuration carried by said movable
frame and consisting of a front post portion and of a base portion,
pivoted at its rear end to said movable frame about an axis extending
transversely to said guideway, a hook fixed to the free upper end of
said post portion for hooking a container to said arm, a first
hydraulic actuator means connected to said truck chassis and to said
frame for moving said frame along said guideway between said foremost
and said rearmost position, and a second hydraulic actuator means
connected to said movable frame and to said arm and operatively pivoting
the latter between an outward container catching-releasing position and
an inward container carrying position, said second hydraulic actuator
means constituting a double-acting telescopic cylinder and piston
unit including a piston rod and an outer cylinder, said outer cylinder
having an end closest to the free end of said piston rod and an end farthest
away from the free end of said piston rod, the free end of said piston rod
being pivotally connected to the forward end of said movable frame and
the end of the outer cylinder closest to the free end of said piston
rod being pivoted to the junction of said base portion and of said post
portion of said arm.
2. A self-loading container carrier truck as defined in claim
1, wherein a transversely extending pivot pin serves to pivot said
base portion to said frame, and stop means are fixed to said truck chassis
in the line of displacement of said pivot pin and arrest the movable
frame of said arm in the rearmost position of said frame, said stop
means forming pivot pin holding notches opened toward the forward end
of said frame.

3. A self-loading container carrier truck as defined in
claim 1, wherein said truck chassis includes a pair of laterally spaced-
apart longitudinal beams, said guideway includes a pair of slide tracks
longitudinally fixed to said beams respectively, and said movable frame
includes a pair of slide bars slidably engaging said slide tracks
respectively.
4. A self loading container carrier truck as defined in claim
3, wherein said first hydraulic actuator means includes a pair of
hydraulic actuators extending lengthwise longitudinally between said
beams and pivotally connected at one end to the rear of the truck chassis
and at the other end to said rear end of said movable frame.

frame and pivoted relative ther~to. The L-shape ar~ has a rigid ~tructuro
including a base section 9 and a post section 10. The base section 9
comprises a pair oP eide memb~rs 11 rigîdly interconn~ctsd by cro

provided with a forwardly opening notch to cooperati~ely form a plvotal
